Scrub Jay Races presents – 19th Annual Scrub Jay 5K & 10K
The 5K and 10K are Manasota Track Club sanctioned events.
The 5K course is also apart of the 2019 Manasota Track Club Series: Sponsored by New Balance Sarasota

COURSE OPTIONS & DETAILS:
Mostly packed sand and grass through the park’s rare, scrubby flat-woods, with a stretch on the paved Legacy Trail and a finisher’s village in the park.
Aid / Water Stations
During the race, there will be water stations.
Start times: 10k run @ 8:00 am; 5k run @ 8:00 am
For everyone’s safety, we ask faster runners to line up closer to the front of the start corral, then followed by run/walkers, walkers, and those with strollers ( if allowed ) toward the back.

5K/10K Ages 13 & under: $5 per person
5K/10K Ages 14-18: $15 per person
5K/10K Ages 19+: $35 per person (5K) $40 per person (10K)

Six deep awards in all groups: Overall, Master, Grand Master, Senior Grand Master, and Veteran Grand Master.
For Runners: Be Early
- Arrive an hour before your start time. This gives you plenty of time to park, pick up your packet, drop your stuff at bag check, find your friends & get warmed up.

Barcode (print or save your registration barcode to your phone.
Towel & extra (dry) clothes
WHAT NOT TO BRING:
Outside food and drink (racers, fuel for the race is OK)
WHAT TO WEAR
There’s no dress code, but you’ll be running in mud, climbing over obstacles.
Our elites recommend: performance gear (NOT COTTON), water packs, compression underwear and headgear.
Advice from experience: is to race in what you train in – new shoes on race day are NOT recommended.
