Looks and Features
True to the Reebok CrossFit design, the Speed TRs are bright and clearly CrossFit branded.
While it doesn’t have a customization option, it does have several colorways to pick from on both the men’s and women’s sides.
Like the Nanos, the Speed TR are rope climb friendly but also feature something new to the Reebok CrossFit shoe line: the KippingKlip. This is a smooth, thin addition to the back heel which reduces drag for handstand push ups, and it works.

Fit and Feel
The Speed TRs are designed to be a hybrid running and CrossFit shoe and to achieve that, Reebok made the sole a bit more cushioned and flexible in the mid and forefoot. Also, unlike the Nano 5s, these shoes have no kevlar to be seen, instead using more traditional feeling materials for the upper.
Compared to the Nano 5, the toebox is narrower and more fitted and the insole is more contoured. This ends up feeling really comfortable. The tongue is also more like a traditional running shoe’s in that it’s got some padding in it.
It’s a shoe that’s both great to lift and run in.

Performance
If you were to imagine a Nano that feels better for running workouts, you can picture exactly what the Speed TR excels at. The sole feels completely connected from toe to heel and works very well for running and non-running workouts.
For WOD training workouts, the Speed TRs will function just fine as it features specialized reinforcements, like a heel KippingKlip for efficient handstand pushups, a RopePro shank for durability and no-slip grip, while having a responsive propulsion plate that enables high-intensity transitions.
For strictly running workouts, they have performed great. I’ve ran 7 mile courses with these shoes. I have yet to run 10+ miles in 1 workout in them yet though, but I feel they would do just fine. Light, flexible & breathable, perfect for running.
I’ve used these shoes for all my runs since I bought them 6 months ago. From flat roads to inclined terrain, pushing through waist high mud pits, swimming mile wide lakes, climbing over wet / muddy walls & climbing up stories of high ropes. I’ve have beaten these shoes up, and they have just taken it with ease! Shoes still feel brand new, when I put them on for every workout or race!
I’ve used a lot of different shoes in my training and the Speed TRs are the most uniquely suited to mixed modal workouts with running included. While i wouldn’t suggest them for someone who solely runs, that’s not what they’re built for. They fit well, provide good support and stability for all types of movements, and are the most comfortable functional fitness shoe I’ve ever run in.

Cleaning
For any OCR runner, cleaning is VERY important. As we want to continue to run in clean comfortable shoes while we run through some of the nastiest & toughest conditions. I’m happy to say it takes less than 5 minutes to clean! Pop out laces and sole,use tub facet to rinse mud,sticks and other debris off. I hang shoes by laces in shower overnight, to let the water drain. The next morning I put shoes in windowsill and soak up that Florida sunshine and by time I get home from work, shoes are dried & ready to be laces back up and ready for more like new all over again!

Overall
I would rate these shoes a 4.5 out of 5 Stars. Only because I haven’t used them for a 10+ mile workout/run yet. But, that’s really my fault and not the shoes. I would like to see how perform after that mile mark, as that is when you know if that’s your “running” shoe. But, for WOD & OCR races these shoes are my favorite so far!
