Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic: Florida 2017 – Mud Run Review

- I registered? Online
- The price of the run was? $95
- I bought on discount or pre-sale? No
- The price vs the value was? Worth it!!
- The post-race perks included? Beautiful medal, post-race meal from the Columbia restaurant, various snacks, post-race beer
- The check in process on the day before the run was – Simple! I went to Health Expo at the Tampa Convention Center, very organized & had lots of fun talking to all the vendors!
- The obstacles of the course were? None, unless you count the Davis Island bridge! Obstacles on this course was the miles of cardio!
- The most challenging obstacle was? I am going to count the Davis Island Bridge after four miles an obstacle, another obstacle is continuing to run after 10+ miles.
- The most unique or fun obstacle was? The Bayshore leg of the course. It’s truly a beautiful course to run, with an occasional dolphin swimming next to you!
- The quality conditions of the course were? Great.
- This is a great Run for? Everyone! PGDC has a race for everyone – 5k, 8k, 15k, half marathon & challenges. You have strollers,walkers,1st timers of the couch, occasional walkers, to every day runners & elite!
- Overall I would rate this run? ( 1 – 5 star; 5 is best) 5 Stars. This was my first road race and it will not be my last Gasparilla race!! Everything was marked well, volunteers were top notch!! Water stations were plenty!! Crowd cheering you on! Everything you want in a run!!
