Spartan Race presents: 2021 Spartan World Championship in Abu Dhabi
For the first time ever, Spartan ventures outside of the US to host the 2021 Spartan World Championship amongst the culturally rich and visually intoxicating Moreeb Dunes, situated 250 km south west of the excursionist hotspot, Abu Dhabi. From Abu Dhabi city’s famous Corniche to the Oasis City of Al Ain and the massive dunes of Al Dhafra’s Empty Quarter desert, culture, history and adventure are encapsulated in the emirate. Whether you crave water sports, need an adrenaline rush, or simply want to soak up some rays and enjoy shimmering turquoise water Abu Dhabi has you covered. Soak up and embrace the friendly and noble culture that combines centuries of fascinating history with an incredibly modern and tolerant way of life. The Spartan World Championship festivities will include a myriad of local traditions and flavor, including local fare, cultural demonstrations, and some good ole fashion dune buggies.

The Spartan Beast: Spartan Beast is a half marathon, 30 obstacle race engineered to push you out of your comfort zone and right up to your limits. Competitors race through rugged, unpredictable terrain around the world as they tackle each of our signature obstacles. The Beast is a Spartan Trifecta eligible event.
Kids Race: Spartan Kids is a series of obstacle course races — ranging from 800m to 3.2km — specifically designed to get your kids (ages 4-14) outside, feeling accomplished and having fun. They’ll run, jump and crush their way through obstacles, just like the adults.

RULES & REGULATIONS FOR COMPETITION
To be eligible for Spartan awards and cash prizes, you must register for the Spartan Elite wave.
Regular Waves: Attempt or skip obstacles & do burpees, but be safe & have fun.

There’s no dress code, but you’ll be running through trails, mud & water while climbing over walls, underneath nets and ropes. So, dress comfortably.
Our elites recommend: performance gear (NOT COTTON), compression underwear, high socks & long sleeves.
Advice from experience: is to race in what you train in – new shoes on race day are NOT recommended.
