Spartan Race presents: North Lake Tahoe Ultra and Beast Weekend
This epic venue was once a host to the 1960 Olympic Winter Games. Spartans are in for an intense race full of twists, turns slopes, and stunning views. With a surface elevation of 6,224 feet and a max elevation upwards of 9,000 feet, your lungs and quads better be ready for the long haul.

The Spartan Ultra: Spartan Ultra is a 50 km, 60 obstacle race built to break your limits over the world’s most difficult terrain. It’s our most intense obstacle course race, but reaching the finish line will leave you with a euphoria that will transform your life. The Ultra is a Spartan Trifecta eligible event.
The Spartan Beast: Spartan Beast is a half marathon, 30 obstacle race engineered to push you out of your comfort zone and right up to your limits. Competitors race through rugged, unpredictable terrain around the world as they tackle each of our signature obstacles. The Beast is a Spartan Trifecta eligible event.

To be eligible for Spartan awards and cash prizes, you must register for the Spartan Elite wave.
Regular Waves: Attempt or skip obstacles & do burpees, but be safe & have fun.

There’s no dress code, but you’ll be running through trails, mud & water while climbing over walls, underneath nets and ropes. So, dress comfortably.
Our elites recommend: performance gear (NOT COTTON), compression underwear, high socks & long sleeves.
Advice from experience: is to race in what you train in – new shoes on race day are NOT recommended.
