Spartan Race presents: Blood Root Ultra
These trails are gritty, winding, and oh so scenic. The course cruises along single track and forest roads around Pittsfield Vermont on private and forest service land. The 10, 200, and 500 mile races take place on a 10 mile loop of iconic Peak Races trails behind Riverside Farm. The 30 (50K) and 50 mile courses roll through this trail as well as a loop through the Green Mountain State Forest.

COURSE OPTIONS & DETAILS:
Peak Blood Root 500 Mile
- The course is a ten (10) mile loop.
- 100% dirt single track trail.
- It is a continuous event. It is not a stage race.
- The goal is to complete 500 miles within the ten day time limit.
- All loops the same direction. No alternation.
Blood Root 200 Mile
- 200 mile individual starts 5/12 @ 7am
- 10 mile loop course
Blood Root 200 Mile Relay
- 200 mile, two person relay starts 5/12 @ 7am
- Ten mile loop course
Blood Root 100 Mile
- 100 mile starts 5/14 @ 7am
- Ten mile loop course
Blood Root 50 Mile
- 50 mile starts 5/15 @ 7am
- Ten mile loop course
Blood Root 50km
- 50k starts 5/15 @ 8am
- 50km loop course
- You must leave mile 9 “North Pond” by 1PM
- You must leave mile 22 “Hayes Brook” by 5PM
- You must cross finish-line at Riverside Farm by 6:30PM

- 10 mile starts 5/15 @ 9am

Aid / Water Stations:
Updated info on aid stations for the Bloodroot Ultra 50km & 50:
The 50-mile course will have about 6 aid stations.
All have water, some have electrolytes and food.
If these distance change the racers will be briefed before each race & during check in the details will be available.
Drop bags can be shuttled to the aid station at mile 7 which is also mile 29.
This is a Self Supported race, we do have aid stations at various intervals, the longest distance is 17 miles between Aid stations, the rest are much closer together. Please come prepared with the proper gear, nutrition, and hydration pack to ensure you have a fun race.

COURSE CUT OFFS for 50 & 50km & 100
50km:
You must leave mile 9 “North Pond” by 1PM
You must leave mile 22 “Hayes Brook” by 5PM
You must cross finishline at Riverside Farm by 6:30PM
50 Milers:
You must leave mile 19 “North Pond” by 1 PM
You must leave mile 36 “Hayes Brook” by 5 PM
50 & 100 Milers:
You must begin your final Riverside Farm 10 mile loop by 6:30 PM (Headlamp Mandatory)
COURSE CLOSES 9 PM SHARP!
Participant safety is our highest concern therefore, Peak Races reserves the right to modify Course and Course Cut-Offs at any time, for any reason, including weather, environmental, or other unforeseen variables.
After Race BBQ? will begin at 6 pm. we will serve Burgers and dogs, we will also have an open grill available for you to cook what you bring.

There’s no dress code, but you’ll be running through trails. So, dress comfortably.
Our elites recommend: performance gear (NOT COTTON), compression underwear, high socks & long sleeves.
Advice from experience: is to race in what you train in – new shoes on race day are NOT recommended.
