With 100% of all proceeds benefiting the Armed Forces Families Foundation, the 2nd annual Skyway 10K will be a trying to raise more than lasts year’s inaugural race that raised $560,000 for military families.

PARKING:
Tropicana Field is providing parking for Race Day weekend completely FREE of cost! Parking is available for all race participants and spectators on a first-come, first-serve basis – it will fill up fast! Here are a few tips:
- Carpooling
- Participants may need to park around Tropicana Field on the streets, so consider street parking costs (if any)
- Allow plenty of time to walk to Tropicana Field so as not to miss bus departure waves
COURSE OPTIONS & DETAILS:
A 10K run is 10 kilometers long, which is the equivalent of 6.2 miles (the length of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge). The 10K is point-to-point from Manatee County to Pinellas County running northbound.Runners will be bussed to the starting point in Terra Ceia in Manatee County. Once over the bridge, buses will be waiting at the finish line to take runners back to Tropicana Field.
- The elevation of the PGL (Profile Grade Line) for the flat trestle spans is 26’ above Mean Sea Level
- The top of the barrier wall at the center of the main span is 200’ above Mean Sea Level
- The slope of either side of the main span of the bridge is a 4% grade
- From the center of tower to center of tower is 1,200 feet
Aid / Water Stations:
Participants WILL have access to water in the start area and in self-serve refill stations throughout the course. At the finish line, Skyway 10K will then provide each athlete with a bottle of water.
Packet Pick-up:
All registered runners will be able to pick up their race day packets at the parking lot of Tropicana Field at specified times on Saturday, March 2, 2019. This will be happening during the Pre-Race Expo. This is the only day that packets can be picked up, although at a later date options will be made available for race packets to be mailed to registered participants prior to Race Day.
Absolutely NO packets can be picked up on Race Day, Sunday, March 3, 2019.
- All registered runners, both VIP and regular, MUST bring their photo I.D. AND bib number in order to receive their packet and bib.
- Race participants MUST have their bib number PRIOR to picking up their packet.
- Please note that every participant is responsible for picking up their own packet.
Waiver
- All registered runners will be provided a race day waiver that must be signed and returned before they can receive their packet. Race day waivers will be available at the packet pick-up; however, participants have the option to download the race day waiver and bring it with them to packet pick-up.
- We understand there could be many situations preventing a participant from picking up their own registration packet; however, please note that NO packets will be permitted for release without proper paperwork. There will be no exceptions for friends, family members, or spouses.
- It is the sole responsibility of the participant to ensure that BOTH the waiver and packet pick-up authorization form are filled out correctly, and to provide a clear photocopy of their photo I.D. and bib number.
- Packet pick-up will be located at Tropicana Field Parking Lot on Saturday, March 2nd, 2019. All registration packets must be picked up then, without exception, although at a later date options will be made available for race packets to be mailed to registered participants prior to Race Day.
- It is the sole responsibility of the participant to ensure that BOTH the waiver and packet pick-up authorization form are filled out correctly, and to provide a clear photocopy of their photo I.D. and bib number.

Bag Check
There will be NO bags allowed on the course. Skyway 10K will have a complimentary bag check at Tropicana Field. One bag per person can be checked in the morning of the race.
Participants should consider this bag check to be similar to airport security – all participants should treat this as if they are flying. Please be aware that every bag is subject to inspection before it’s checked. It is advised to leave belongings at home/in cars, if possible.
Participants will not be allowed on the shuttle if they try to bring a bag.

Spectators
Because of strict security measures, we cannot allow spectators on site at the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. However, we are working to secure a way to televise the race to allow spectators to view their loved ones from the Tropicana Field. Please check back for additional updates!
