Emilio was a Firefighter, a Marine and a father. In 2019, at the age of 29 Emilio committed suicide. His legacy lives on through the Foundation which serves as an advocate for education on suicide prevention and PTSD in first responder and veteran communities. The Foundation offers assistance with appointments and treatment and has a scholarship program for those aspiring to become a firefighter.

MBFD will donate all proceeds to The Emilio Rivera Foundation.

MBFD experience is as competitive as you make it. Rally your team and battle the other teams in your division for bragging rights, or simply make it your goal to cross the finish line! For everyone’s safety, we ask faster runners to line up closer to the front of the start corral, then followed by run/walkers, walkers, and those with strollers ( if allowed ) toward the back.
