A mud obstacle run that is truly meant for everyone. Their goal is to provide a course that will challenge all ages and levels of ability–from first time participants to avid runners. While wanting to help participants to achieve something they they may not have considered possible. Some obstacles may seem difficult while others are ‘a piece of cake’. Accomplish whatever you can!
This event is great for team building–no experience is necessary! Get back to nature with this scenic adventure that supports local charities.

Push the pace & race for podium, rally your team and battle the other teams for bragging rights, or simply make it your goal to cross the finish line! Case Creek Obstacles events are about coming together and accomplishing goals, in places you love to do it in. COURSE OPTIONS & DETAILS:
Case Creek Obstacles Shocktober Halloween Trail Run / Walk for Everyone is a 5k or 10k (2 laps ) Run / Walk located on a farm in Coal Valley Il. ( NO OBSTACLES ) Beautiful trails thru fields, pristine timber woodlots and grain crops. There are hills and valleys presented throughout the course along with creek crossings ( great elevation changes ) .The Shocktober Halloween trail Run / walk is a great course for folks wanting to get off the roads and enjoy some of our beautiful trails. Our shocktober Halloween trail run / walks are very laid back and great fun for the entire family, making it fun & easy for all ages and all abilities looking to change up the running routine and get “off” the roads! This gives you a great opportunity to run a race, in a natural environment. Halloween Costumes are encouraged but not required ! There will be a few Volunteers in spooky / scary costumes along the trail possibly shocking or startling the run / walkers as they pass by . .
Aid / Water Stations
First Aid personnel will be on hand for minor injuries. Trinity Medical hospital is within 10 minutes of our location.
There will be race day packet pickup.

We encourage all participants to compete at their comfort level.
US OCR & OCRWC Qualifying Event
$7.00 registration – There will be at least 3 obstacles in the main area. These obstacles will most likely be in the main area as well: Tire Wall, Ninja Scaling Wall, and Weight Lift. There will also be a 1/2 mile walk to watch the monkey bars over water event, if you really want to see it.
For Runners: Be Early
- Arrive an hour before your start time. This gives you plenty of time to park, pick up your packet, drop your stuff at bag check, find your friends & get warmed up.
WHAT TO BRING
Towel & extra (dry) clothes
WHAT NOT TO BRING:
Outside food and drink (racers, fuel for the race is OK)
Pets are not allowed.
WHAT TO WEAR
There’s no dress code, but you’ll be running in trails, possibly swimming through a creek and climbing over obstacles and carry objects.
Our elites recommend: performance gear (NOT COTTON), water hydration packs, compression underwear, high socks and headgear.
Advice from experience: is to race in what you train in – new shoes on race day are NOT recommended.
